Website payments

Integrating payments into your website - four ways, without building a checkout from scratch

Most businesses do not need to build a payment system. They need the customer to pay on the site, the money to arrive, and the invoice to go out by itself. There are four ways to connect that, from the simplest one that works today to a full integration from your own code.

How to integrate a payment system into a website

Integrating payment systems into a website, also called implementing or connecting a payment system to a site, connects the "pay" button on your site to the processing that moves the money. There are four ways to do it: a payment link the site points to, a sale page embedded inside the site, an API your code calls to create a payment request, and importing orders from an existing store for invoicing. In every case the customer pays on a secure page, by credit card, Bit, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and the invoice can be issued automatically the moment the payment succeeds. The right way depends on one question: how much control you need over the checkout experience, and how much development you are willing to do for it.

What the integration includes

1. Payment link - no code

Create a payment request, get a link and a QR code, and put it on a button on your site, in WhatsApp or in an email. The customer pays on a secure payment page and you see the status in the system. It is the fastest way, and it suits most businesses.

2. A sale page embedded in your site

A sale page with products and a cart that you can place inside your site with ready-made embed code (iframe) or share as a link. Only a published page is shown, and payment goes through the same secure checkout.

3. API and webhooks for developers

Your code creates a payment request and gets a real payment link back, reads the transaction list, and opens a refund request that is approved in the system. Events such as a request being created and a payment being completed are sent to your server by webhook, so the site knows when to release an order. Access is by API key with separate read and write scopes.

4. Orders from an existing store

Already have a WooCommerce, Shopify or Wix store? Orders are imported into the system and produce an invoice, without retyping them. It connects orders to invoices; it does not replace the store's checkout.

Bit, Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal

The payment page offers the methods customers in Israel actually use today, not only a credit card. PayPal and bank direct debit (Masav) are available when they are enabled on the business's merchant account.

3DS and instalments

The 3DS authentication policy is your setting, not a blanket rule. Instalments can be allowed, and chargebacks appear on a dedicated screen with status and alerts.

The invoice goes out by itself

When a card or digital-wallet payment succeeds, the system issues an invoice and returns the invoice number and a PDF link. You can turn this off for a specific payment request or for the whole business. If invoice generation fails, the payment itself is not affected and the failure is logged.

A returning customer does not re-enter a card

Saved payment methods, recurring subscriptions and a customer portal where the customer updates a card, sees invoices and pauses or cancels a subscription. Card details are stored as an encrypted token, not as a visible number.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about integrating payments into a website

How do I add a payment system to my website without a developer+
With a payment link. Create a payment request in the system, copy the link and put it on a button on your site. If you sell several products, a sale page with a cart gives you ready-made embed code to paste into the site. Neither needs development.
What is the difference between a payment link and an API integration+
With a payment link you create the request in the system and the customer goes to the payment page. With the API your site's code creates the payment request itself, for example with the cart total, and receives a webhook when the payment is completed. The API suits a site that needs to know by itself when to release an order.
How can I add payments to an app I developed myself+
Through the public API: the app creates a payment request with an API key that has payment write scope, gets a payment link and opens it for the customer, and your server receives a webhook event when the payment is completed. That way card details never pass through your app.
What are the options for taking payment from customers by link+
A payment link can be sent by WhatsApp, SMS or email, or shown as a QR code. The customer pays by card, Bit, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and you see in the system whether the link was paid. A link for an existing invoice closes that invoice automatically when it is paid.
How does connecting payments to WooCommerce work+
We do not have a payment plugin that replaces the WooCommerce checkout. What exists is importing orders from WooCommerce, Shopify and Wix for invoicing, and the option to send customers to one of our payment links. If you need the store's checkout itself to run through us, talk to us before you start.
Is Google Pay supported for businesses+
Yes. Google Pay and Apple Pay are shown on the payment page next to credit card and Bit, and the payment issues an invoice like any other payment.
Is the invoice issued automatically after a website payment+
Yes, by default. A successful payment issues an invoice and returns the invoice number and a PDF link. You can turn this off for a specific payment request or for the whole business, for example if invoices are issued in another system.
